  • Algebra can be easy to translate with "letters counting". In the algebra you can counting with the letters expression instead for numbers.
  • The name coming from the arabic. In 830 AD published a study book in Baghdad wich explaind how to solve
  • equations with help of al-gebra and al-muqabala.
  • Mohammed ibn Musa al- Khwarizmi, science man in mathematik, astronomy and geography.
  • He was born in khorezm in 780. He worked at the house of al-Hekma in Baghdad. Before he died in 830 AD
  • he left publations in astronomy, math and geography.
  • They most inportent books are al-gebra and al-muqabala. He has translated the books into latin in 1135 AD.
  • Al-jabr means about restoration or other transfe, and Al-muqabala means about balancing.
  • The concept of algebra comes from the name of one of the basic functions with equations wich described
  • in these book. The books translated to the latin language under the name "Liber al-gebra `et al-muqabala".
  • Al-gebra is a process to remove devices and roots by adding the same amount to each side.
  • Al-muqabala is the process of matching amounts of the same type on the same side of the equation.
